Patrick Mullins is a professional soccer player who was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. His soccer journey began on youth club fields in City Park and Lafreniere Park. His youth career also included many games at stadiums like Pan American and Tad Gormley The foundation of his soccer career is in the Crescent City. He played for Jesuit High School and in those years won two state championships and also had success at the club level by winning four state cups with Louisiana Fire Juniors and its predecessor soccer clubs. At the age of 15, Mullins played with the Baton Rouge Capitals. He played his collegiate soccer at the University of Maryland. During his college career, he returned in the summer to his hometown to play for the New Orleans Jesters.  His childhood dream to play professional soccer was realized when he was drafted in the first round of the MLS Superdraft. Mullins continues to represent New Orleans and Louisiana soccer in his second year as professional soccer player.

New York City FC


  • Acquired by NYCFC with their 2nd pick in the 2014 Expansion Draft
  • Developed a role on the team through pre-season training at the City Football Academy in Manchester, England
  • Demonstrated a multifaceted attacking ability with strong hold up play, dynamic movement and a goal scoring touch
  • Scored key goals including goals in the club’s first-ever home game in Yankee Stadium and in the first ever New York derby
  • Finished the season with 6 goals and 4 assists in 1024 minutes played in 24 games.

New England Revolution


  • Launched professional soccer career with the Revolution with a run to the 2014 MLS Cup Final
  • Sparked a Revolution comeback in the MLS Cup with a game-tying assist as a substitute to send the match into overtime
  • Completed a 4 game scoring streak that contributed to 4 straight wins during the month of May
  • Notched 21 appearances as a rookie with 4 goals and 2 assists

University of Maryland - Terrapins


  • Recruited by Maryland Head Coach Sasho Cirovski beginning at a summer soccer camp as a high school Freshman and  culminating with a verbal commitment made as a Junior
  • Posted a decorated college career including back-to-back MAC Hermann trophies (only fourth male ever to win twice) and Soccer America player of the year selections
  • Made two College Cup appearances and won three Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament titles along with two ACC regular season titles
  • Awarded the Allstate Sugar Bowl Outstanding Male Amateur Athlete Greater New Orleans in 2013
  • Scored 47 goals (2nd All Time at Maryland) and added 35 assists in 92 career matches at Maryland
  • Appeared in ESPN’s Top 10 section for a goal in a two-goal performance at the 2013 College Cup against Virginia

  • Participated in the Under 17 Mini Camp at IMG Academies to recruit new members to the youth national team residency program
  • Trained with Under 18 team at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California in preparation for international competition

  • Made international trips with the team to Barcelona, Madrid and Buenos Aires

  • Represented the Blue Jays on the 8th grade team and Varsity team under Coach Hubie Collins
  • Won two Louisiana High School Championships
  • Awarded the Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year, selected to the All-State team twice, and named the New Orleans Metro Player of the Year twice
  • Named the Allstate Sugar Bowl Amateur Athlete of the Month (January 2009) for his performances at the high school level

  • Collected four Louisiana Soccer Association State Championships

  • Made his debut with the Capitals at the age of 15
